Breakers for TV3+ football program

For TV3+ Onside

Direction / Cinematography / Editing

Story:

The offside' girls here came about in much the same way that all the good commercial jobs I have done did. Thru the ever energetic Ulla Keto, who at the time was working at BBDO in CPH, where they needed someone to go out with their creative man and shoot some girls at different schools attempting to explain the off-side rule in football. In itself just an extension of an ad campaign already featured on Danish TV3+, it still offered some degree of fun.

Thus, Bubs and I went out to con attractive young (I guess the agency was trying to target 19 to 26 year olds or so) into explaining the off-side rule to BBDO’s creative man for a measly 1500 kr. It was then promised that the money would be paid out if and when the girl’s footage was to be aired. And if it was, that it would only feature as a breaker (between EVERY FUCKIN break between the Sunday Danish League match and ads) in the Spring season. Of course by the end of the Autumn season it still did, and I don’t know about the girls, but I never heard anything about it again.

But I like these girls and the creative man must have had something (lacking rudimentary social skills) because whereas most other such extremely annoying repetitions truly piss me off, the honesty of the poor girls grows with repeated viewings. Or maybe it´s just me.
